Thank you to everyone!
The 2012 Republican primary for the 81st district is over and I offer my sincere congratulations to my opponent. Within minutes of the preliminary count being 100% completed on Tuesday evening I called my opponent to offer my congratulations and my best wishes for November. We are and must remain one Republican Party and I am committed to that principle.
I also offer my heartfelt gratitude to everyone who worked with me during my campaign. I made a great many new friends and I strengthened and deepened connections with many old friends. I am truly blessed to know so many wonderful people, people I am proud to call friends.
This primary election is over, however the task of cleaning up our State remains ahead of us. It is my sincere hope that we can all work together to do what needs to be done, regardless of who we may have supported in this or any other election. Elections are often hard fought but after the campaigning is done, we need to remember that elections are merely a means to a greater goal, which is responsible self governance undertaken by a free people. When we work together to seek that goal we all truly are on the same team.
